Is an estate agent worth it for letting a property?
An agent takes care of the rent, brochure, pre-selection, credit check, viewings and handover, so that only vetted tenants move in. Under the principle that whoever commissions the agent pays (Bestellerprinzip), the landlord pays the commission, at most two months' net cold rent plus VAT and only when a lease is signed.
